The Post is a great place to un-wind! The food is not your average "bar food" and the Cheesesteak (Beef or Chicken) will not disappoint! Try the pizza, too! Yummmm. . . Whether you are there to eat, watch a game, play darts, or just socialize with friends, you can't go wrong with The Post!

Fantastic Food

While in St. Louis recently, I visited The Post Sports Bar and Grill several times. I was blown away by the food. The cheesesteak was the best I have ever eaten. I was overwhelmed by the uniqueness of the pizza especially the garlic wheat crust). The baked wings were better than any wings I have had in the East. Be sure to get an order of the Buffalo Chicken Dip - an experience beyond any you have had. Hats off to the Chef!!!

I just moved From Maryland heights to Maplewood 2 months ago. One of the reasons I was so excited for the move is because of The Post. I've probably been here 15 times since they opened. I can't get enough of their buffalo chicken Caesar salad and the pizzas on garlic wheat crust. The waitresses and bartenders always seem to be on their 'A' game even when the place is PACKED (which happens regularly now). And The owner will even bring us up an extra table If there's no place to sit and watch the game. This is hands down the best place to watch a game in STL. In my years of bar-hopping it's also one of the best day drinking spots I've ever been to. The Post definitely gets my vote for best new bar in STL!

A conveniently located sports bar with a great atmosphere!

As an individual that enjoys visiting local non-chain establishments, I was pleasantly surprised with this bar. The Post has become my before pre-Cards game, post-Rams game hangout. The location is convenient for STL sporting events; it is not too close where to be packed for pre-game but not a far distance to drive to Busch or Edward Jones Dome.
Since the opening, I have made several trips to The Post specifically for their great food. I cannot say enough about the food including outstanding wings, pizza and vast selection of beer on tap with a price tag anyone can afford. The view of the game, whatever it may be, is always clear and the service is always quick and with a smile.
Definitely my vote for best new STL bar!

Hometown bar

I was at the Post for the first time during game 1 of the world series. You have a great view of the game from any spot in the house. This is definitely a nice comfortable and homy sports bar. The Pizza was really good. I guess they do trivia night on Wednesday nights because they had trivia going on while I was there. They did a visual round which was really cool... never seen that before. Anyways, the place was busy and I'll definitely be back. I wish I lived a little closer so I could come up for trivia night more often.

Time to Post!

I first went to the Post about two months ago for lunch. I'm typically more of a subway kind of guy for lunch, but some of my colleagues had heard good things and wanted to try the place out, so I decided to join them.

The first thing I noticed was that the place had a lot of energy, even during lunchtime. The waitresses were all smiling (and not just at the tables where they are supposed to, but also when they were conversing with each other or at the bar waiting for drinks) which tells me that they truly enjoy working there.

The menu was quite a bit more expansive than what I expected. The waitress suggested I order the cheesesteak. Hands down the best cheesesteak I've ever had, period. I can't believe it took me this long to try this place out.

I decided I should try the place out for a sporting event and went up for the second Mizzou PPV game against Furman. First of all, the place was packed! I couldn't believe how many people were there to watch this game. Moreover, the service didn't seem to be affected at all. I could see several of the waitresses helping each other out, which I think is great to see and benefits everyone.

After the game, the place cleared out a bit which allowed my buddies and I to get on the shuffleboard table. This is one of the better ones I've ever played on. Most shuffleboard tables at bars are lopsided or warped, but this one was spot on. We had a blast and the owner even came over and asked us how everything had been, bought us a round of drinks, and played a game with us! Now if that's not a first class establishment, I don't know what is.

STEER CLEAR AND SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!
By BARINDUSTRY, October 15, 2009

Well, I met a bunch of friends at this place for the Cards, Mizzou, and Blues game last week. All I have to say is save your money. I have been in the bar industry in STL for about 10 years. I have friends that work right next door at the JIVE and event told them to stay away. When my friends that have been there a while got there tab it was $191.00 not a big deal for 5 hours of drinking. They only split the bill into 2 parts to make it easy on the waitress.....bad mistake.....my friend put $40 on a card and then paid $220.00 in cash and told the waitress to keep the change. He also is the manager of a bar in the loop. So not a bad tip....$50.00.....well that's when it started. The waitress said that he only gave her $150 and he still owed $1.97... so she either can't count or just stole the money. He didn't want raise a big fuss and mentioned he was also in the industry and wanted to figure it out but then the waitress gave him an attitude and showed him a wad of crumpled money in her folder and said it was his. But it wasnt since he only gave her $20's and she was showing all other bills. He was a bit tipsy but I didn't drink and also counted the money and he was right on. Well for sake of fighting with her he said she was wrong but handed her another $40 in tips just to cover what she said she lost. So,,,,if you have a little bleach blond waitress wait on you....keep track of your money cause it will be snaked away. Then, when I went to pay my bill....which I bought 1 bucket of beer for my friends.....and on that night buckets were $10.00.....my bill was $16.20.....now tell me...how the hell does that happen. This was from the bar tender...so when I asked where the 16.20 came from she just said I ordered it......I tossed her a $5 and said we'll never be back and have told all our industry friends about it and they wont be showing up either, This place will rip you off one way or another and there are plenty of other good bars in Maplewood or STL that is worth that kind of money.......Steer Clear of the POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They wouldn't buck up and order the Mizzou game
By mizzou05, September 14, 2009

Really? How can you be considered a legit sports bar without ordering PPV to see the only D1 team in the state (not to mention 25 in the nation)???

Think about it... each person that goes in there to watch the game would spend at least $30 on drink and food. And that wouldn't cover the pay-per-view fee?

This place might have a lot of TV's, but if they refuse to support the local team, I refuse to support the bar. Sports Attic here I come....
