The Hilltop Inn has been in business at Morganford and Loughborough in South St. Louis City since 1939. It is currently run by the daughter of the original owner of this South St. Louis neighborhood bar. She is one of the nicest people you will meet and she makes you feel right at home at the Hilltop.
This spot serves a “merchants lunch” from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and can be loosely described as a steam table full of home cooking. Going to the Hilltop Inn is like going to Mom’s and having a home-cooked meal among family and friends. Quite simply, this place is a no-frills neighborhood bar and restaurant that goes the extra mile to make you feel like being part of the “Hilltop” family.
