Your first impression when you walk into Mike Talayna's Jukebox Restaurant might be that you just time-warped back to the Casaloma Ballroom in the 1950s or a disco from the 70s or a cosmic bowling alley from the 90s. But actually, you are sitting pretty in a dive near Dogtown. With Sammy Davis, Jr. and Frank Sinatra immortalized on the wall, this karaoke hot spot might just make you sing and dance like you did in your basement to that Ace of Base cassette. You don't have to feel ashamed, we all did it. The menu is minimal, the drinks are strong and the dancing goes all night long. The fact that your friends won't openly admit that they've been and that you took time out to MapQuest how to get there around Highway 40 should give you some clue about how addicting Mike Talayna's really is.
