Went here on a whim and was incredibly pleased with everything.

TONS of beers, and the waitress knows her stuff. Can recommend a beer based on your taste... I had a Samichclaus (sp?)... 14% ABV Dopplebock. GREAT!

Food was also fantastic, Make sure to get the ruben and the mill fries. (Mill fries+++ So good)

Best of all with this place is the atmosphere, it is what a restaurant in downtown old st. charles, on the river, is supposed to look like.

Go here, You will not be disappointed.

(NOTE** This place has more of a pub feel, so don't go expecting 5 start dining.)

I had the Crab Meat stuffed Talpia and it was very Bland I really couldn't taste the crab meat at all. What really kicked me was my Dessert a small piece of Pumpkin Pie for $6.99 that took the Cake!!! Service was fair.

My husband and I go there all the time -- they just reopened after being closed due to a fire. But we were regulars before the fire (even celebrated our engagement there!) and of course now after the fire. They rebuilt their indoors to provide food year round, which is good (sandwiches and entrees), they also carry over 100 beers -- mostly imports you can't find most places. Old world ambiance and the best patio to just hang out, have some food, have some beers and enjoy an evening with friends or loved ones. Check it out, it's the best bar in St. Charles!!!

My husband and I go there quite often. They have the best patio around during nice weather and a newly renovated indoor dining area & bars. They've been closed for 2 years due to a fire but I am so happy they are back open. great food, friendly staff, over 100 types of beer -- what more can you want? I think they've added some dinners to their menu in addition to the previously mentioned sandwiches, soups, etc. They have the best reuben around and these fried potatoes that are excellent! We love this place -- you will too!

Nice place to sit outside and enjoy a beverage. Great bunch of folks hang out there on Thursday nights. Always a good time.
