It's no wonder the Great Grizzly Bear has been a staple of the Soulard bar scene for more than 30 years, it does so many things so well. Though ownership has changed hands a time or two, the good times have remained a constant. Whether you're in the mood to belly up for an after-work cocktail, grab a burger and a beer on the massive outdoor patio or groove to some of St. Louis' best blues bands on the weekends, the Bear fits the bill.
The extensive menu features typical tavern fare but also features unique items like a cajun quesadilla, beer cheese soup and the peppercorn prime rib melt sandwich.
Happy hour is every day from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and a rousing game of trivia breaks out every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.

The Great Grizzly Bear has the most versatile menu along with the best tasting food in Soulard (in my opinion). I've tried 'em all but I keep going...
