The Shanti adorns its walls with memories of Mardi Gras past. Colorful beads, masks and photos of revelers chronicle the annual February celebration synonymous with debachery. Colorful is also a good way to describe the crowd at the Shanti. Young and old, guys and gals, locals or suburbanites; all are welcome. The room fills up in the evening as local blues bands put on a show. Out back, a long narrow patio invites a brief respite from the smoke inside, but not from the fun.
