Dressel's Pub

Dressel's is a beloved destination in the Central West End for connoisseurs of great ale, traditional Welsh and American pub grub and Saint Louis history. Pictures of Saint Louis greats from past to present hang on the brick walls, and a large and elegant bar, usually manned by a surly, old-school bartender is the focal point of the downstairs. Dressel's is proud of its varied beer selection; a patron who ordered a Bud Light in here would be leaving himself open to mockery. The wait staff, in fact, takes some pride in its tendency to be less than friendly. A group of friends would be well-served to try an order of the delectable homemade chips... just don't ask your server to put a rush on it, because he won't. The upstairs has a more cozy, romantic feel and would be a great place for a nightcap with a date.
