The thin cornmeal breading on this chicken was peppery and flavorful, yet not so thick and greasy that it overwhelmed the juicy chicken it encased. The crispy texture of the crust mixed well with the tender chicken it was paired with. Watch out Hodak’s: Tip Top Food and Spirits is going to give you a run for your money for St. Louis’ best fried chicken! Tip Top’s chicken was served with steak fries and Serbian slaw, which was sugary sweet, followed by the bite of vinegar.
