Everything on this plate was great, but the cevapcicis—often called chee chees—were what is worth writing about. The mixture of pork, lamb and beef in the chee chees was peppery on the outside, but sweet and succulent inside. They are so good, that after finding it would be too difficult for him to mass-produce the sausages himself, Tip Top’s owner gave his recipe to Kenrick’s Meat Market so they could sell them in their store. The sausages are not sweet enough to be used for breakfast, but are great any time after noon comes around. If you head to Kenrick’s to buy some chee chees for yourself, ask for the Serbian pork sausages. I know I sure will.
