Cocktails making a comeback

Eat your heart out, Prohibition. Bartenders are bringing the cocktail back - the real cocktail, not your grandfather’s Tom Collins. Armed with an arsenal of fruit peels, custom-made ice and more bottles of bitters than I knew existed (more than just Angostura?), a few dedicated St. Louis mixologists are reviving the cocktails of yore. I asked Matt Seiter of Sanctuaria and Ted Kilgore of Taste. by Niche to take me on a tour of these creative libations - and the ingredients used to make them. With names like ‘Clover Club’, ‘12 Miles Out,’ and ‘The Martinez,’ I dare you to order a vodka-tonic ever again.
