Maybe TomKat's uncoupling won't be such a catfight after all?
Amid all the stories of Katie's alleged subterfuge and the questions regarding Suri's future, People is reporting that lawyers for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have, for the past few days, been trying to negotiate an agreement between their clients to spare them a nasty divorce. Holmes was photographed walking into her lawyer's New York office this morning.
"Neither one of them wants this to be hashed out in public," a source told the magazine.
Up for negotiation, according to TMZ, are child custody, visitation, child support and a property settlement. There are no immediate plans for a court hearing, TMZ says.
The tenor of the talks, a source tells the website? "Calm."
