Ten things to check out on Cherokee Street

The Cherokee Business District is one of the hidden gems in the City of St. Louis. I'll be honest, it used to be a sketchy area, but has turned into a great place for entreprenuers and small business owners to grow their enterprises. I am a fan of walking down the street after grabbing some great mexican food and poking around some of the shops. I really like the Firecracker Press. In the age of computer everything, they produce some of the coolest stationary and prints using old presses that weigh more than your car.

Please do not trash Cherokee Street. That does not happen. We are all working hard to make this street a better place and we don't need such outdated stereotypes scaring people away. I have lived down here for a year now and the only time I've been mugged has been in O'Fallon, Missouri. As long as you aren't wandering around alone at night you are perfectly safe.

They left off get shot by gang bangers as you are dodging piles of human excrement as you try to make your way out of the hood
