No 5.: Attend a Dorm Room Dinner at 33 Wine Shop & Tasting Bar
In my opinion, 33 Wine Shop & Tasting Bar in Lafayette Square is the city's best wine bar. There are more than 700 wines by the bottle available here. And while they don't usually serve food, there's one night a month where that's not exactly true - Dorm Room Dinner nights. It's sort of hush-hush, but those in the know are literally eating 33's "Dorm Room" dinners up. Each month, the wine bar brings in some of the best chefs in town for a culinary experience like no other. The "Dorm Room" is a literal translation. The chefs can only prepare their five-course meals with a microwave, toaster or hot plate - the same heating utensils you'll find in your standard dorm. Like I said, though, these are some of the most talented chefs in town - so they're not going to let the heating tools get in their way. I went to my first dinner in 2010, and had a blast.
