So, it's official. I am too old (or have too much post college weight) to squeeze into any of the "sexy" Halloween costumes that I used to don (former favorites include the sexy Girl Scout and the sexy cowgirl). I am ok with this. I have accepted this.  And I'm moving on. However, now that I'm past skimpy skirts and push up bras, I have now focused all of my Halloween energy on Teddy the Pomeranian (insert collective groan here). Unfortunately for my pooch, my love of Halloween needs an outlet. In years past, he has been a lobster (which more closely resembled a throw pillow) and a chicken. This year, with little more than two weeks to go, I am in need of a costume for this thirteen pound fluff ball.

Pics from the Halloween in the CWE Pet Parade provide some great inspiration, as do the links listed below. Are your pets dressing up? Leave a comment below and let me know your costume of choice! Hate dog costumes? That is ok, too. I still want to hear from you!

1. Easter basket full of Easter eggs (Puppies painted in spring hues? A wagon decked out as a basket? Yes, please!)

2. Bunch of bananas (So, you would need a few costumes... and a few puppy friends, but what is cuter than a bunch of furry bananas?)

3. Racehorse with jockey (Funny. Easy. Cute. Need I say more?)

4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (Before you start calling the Humane Society on me, I promise that I would never actually cut and dye my dog in this form... I would just think about it)

About Me

I like live music, cupcakes, my dog (Teddy the pomeranian), reading (Augusten Burroughs is a fave), art and etsy.com. In my free time, I am on the Young Friends boards at the Saint Louis Science Center and the Art Museum, as well as the Art Dimensions board. This fall, I would like to keep an organized TiVo and be able to do 25 push ups (without stopping!).
