When Thor's evil brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), gains access to the unlimited power of the energy cube called the Tesseract, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), director of SHIELD, initiates a superhero recruitment effort to defeat the unprecedented threat to Earth.
