'Jeff Who Lives at Home'
Plot: Directionless 30-something Jeff (Jason Segel) floats from toilet to bong to television, wondering what the universe has in store for him. One day he’s sent on an errand and ends up crossing paths with his family members (Ed Helms and Susan Sarandon).
R; 1 hour, 23 minutes
Upside: The movie is a showcase for Susan Sarandon as the guys' emotionally scarred mother, who can’t help but enable and curse her boys.
Downside: Segel’s character simply isn’t given enough backstory; that his father died is tragic, but hardly an explanation for his oddball behavior.
