First off, to those of you attended The Swell Season show last Friday night at The Pageant, I am sure you are still in awe of what you saw. Seriously, what a show! I know I wrote my "Best of 2009" list last week, but that show would have taken the cake if I would have waited just a few more days.
Now, on to this week.
Like I have mentioned before, the concert season is slowing down, but thanks to Off Broadway, we do have two shows this week that should keep things nice and warm. First up is Rosi Golan and Peter Bradley Adams this Tuesday evening. The Israeli-born Golan is just coming onto the singer-songwriter scene with her latest album, 'The Drifter & The Gypsy.' It's easy listening, and Golan's got a sweet voice that she should be able to show off just fine in a live setting. If you're in the mood for something chill, Golan should do the trick for you on Tuesday.
Joining Golan will be Peter Bradley Adams, whose tunes also remain unplugged at their heart. If you want to check out some of his stuff before deciding on going to see him, he is currently offering a free EP. So go get it now! And then go buy your tickets.
On Wednesday, super Canadians The Rural Alberta Advantage will be rolling into town with their funky sounds. Their songs seem to get more infectious every time you hear them, especially "Don't Haunt This Place," a charming little nugget that you'll want to hear again and again. And really, have you ever gone to see a bunch of Canadian musicians and come away disappointed? I sure haven't. Take the plunge and check them out--they're coming all the way from Toronto to our little Off Broadway!
