Stefani and No Doubt playing at the Roxy in West Hollywood, Calif., in 1989. No Doubt concerts were notoriously chaotic affairs, with lots of stage-diving fans and guest musicians crowding the stage (we have no idea who the shirtless dude with the mic is). Despite the band's then-unfashionable ska-pop sound, Interscope Records was impressed enough to sign them in 1990.
