Welcome to the fast-paced world of 'Turbo,' the DreamWorks animated adventure that revs up in theaters on July 19, whose snail hero's racing hopes come true when he is magically bestowed with the gift of speed. The would-be Indy racer Turbo (front and center, voiced by Ryan Reynolds) meets some like-minded snail pals after being plucked from his suburban yard and taken to a rundown Van Nuys, Calif., strip mall. They are Smoove Move (Snoop Lion aka rapper Snoop Dogg), left, Burn (Maya Rudolph), Skidmark (comic actor Ben Schwartz) and leader Whiplash (Samuel L. Jackson).
