‘The Fountain’ is just the right name for this Midtown oasis, because the flavors just keep flowing. This place screams original... with salads like the Famous Birdseed, and sandwiches like the Basilico Chicken or the Dr. John—peanut butter and banana with honey on whole wheat. And if for no other reason than to stay and enjoy the exquisite Art Deco interior a little longer, order one of the old fashioned ice cream specialties like the Dark and Sinister, Banana Split, Coconut Almond Joy or try one of the shakes, malts or chocolate martinis.
