A bug encased in a sucker makes for one yummy treat

This time of year is good for the thrills and chills (Halloween) and smorgasbords of food (Thanksgiving), but what would happen if you combined the creepy with the cranberries? Fused the two holidays together (I call it Thanksgweening) and served up some truly interesting, if not skin crawling grub at your family get together? I’m thinking something like the dinner scene from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and frankly, the spread in that movie is not that different from what you can get right here in town at some area restaurants. We’ve compiled a list of area “specialties” that you can get as take out, and bring home to turn the stomachs at your next dinner party.
