My daugher had asked to meet her here. Got there early for lunch. Friendly staff that suggested a few options, and said - eat what you normally eat, and see for yourself. Liked the counter service (saved on tipping), and didn't mind self service system. Had Crab Rangoon - very different. Later I overhead some person say it was 'rolled fresh' in house. Not sure what that means, but it was goooood. Daughter had some spicy noodle dish...that was really good, drunk something. Anyways, besides being a bit small (manager said expanding is coming), a great little place and not what I normally eat. I thought it was good. I would go back again soon, but don't live too cloase.

Wow, Wang Gang is incredible! We have been absolutely thrilled with the quality of their food, and the ambiance at the restaurant is very cool. It is not a large restaurant, but it does seem to have adequate seating. The crab rangoon (though not your typical crab rangoon) is truly the best, most flavorful I have ever had. The sweet & sour chicken is delicious - the chicken isn't breaded or battered, but big juicy slices of flavorful chicken - and we get it with brown rice.
I definitely recommend Wang Gang!

came in for first time on Monday night. turns out they were very busy becuase they were running some sort of fund raising for cancer that night- very cool to do. Anyways, had some good food, natch, Crab Rangoon! Made fresh, rolled in house as they gal at the counter said - super mucho good. Sake, noodle dish, and watching the guys in the kitchen was interesting - open kitchen, not sure if its good or bad. Funny to watch though. Anyways, new to metromix, and new to this place -good all around! Took a minute to figure out that we go to the counter to place our order - no servers, but then again, no 20percent tipping either! like that!

I was so excited to find a place that had such an different menu. Upon getting my food delivered I was never so upset. The chicken was a big pile of rubber. The rice no good. There was no sauce or flavor to the food. Not only was the food horrible but it was way overpriced. I could have had cheap Chinese food and been happier. I got the Thai spiced peanut. If you cant make authentic Thai food then don't sell it!!! The tempura green beans were so gross. The sauce they served with them was the same sauce you can find at Burger King for their onion rings or even at Arbys. SAVE YOURSELF MONEY DONT GO HERE!!!! Not only was the food gross but afterwards I felt sick for a few hours.

Been to Wang Gang several times now. Never disapoints. Food always consistent and fresh. Love the bistro feel....I've been in a rush and received prompt service and also been with groups of friends and lingered. Wang Gang staff up to the task - either way. Most importantly, food choices appeal to both Asian food lovers and those a bit intimidated by foods they are unfamiliar with - as was the case with friends on a recent visit. Love the conveniece of delivery and take-out. Keep up the great job....whatever your doing, your doing it right!

I am typically a burger girl. Burger, burger, burger, fries, wings, burgers. My friend drags me to this joint....and warns - no bar food. First look, couldn't see in. Opened the doors and viola, there's a restaurant. After talking to one of the people (waitstaff on top of it) about what would suit me, they set me up with the 88. Really good. I don't eat chinese really, but for someone that doesn't, this was out of sight! sauce was good...and the dessert (some chocolate roll thing) was just what the doctor ordered (well, the bank teller). My friend had been there before so it was the usual for her. She had been there 3 times in 1 week. I will go back, and its the go to place for me when my friends want chinese...all good. Get there and have fun!

My name is Dustin Castle and I would like to set the record straight about my feelings of Wang Gang. I cannot agree with my associates who commented when I left. I apologize to the company and the people I call friends for it. The people and food at Wang Gang is amazing. I ate a #88 chicken almost everyday and would recommend it to anyone. Chef Charles has worked hard in the kitchen training and making good food. In my eyes that alone makes him a chef. Ryan has put together a team that could make Wang Gang the equivalent of Mc'Donalds in it's size and power. Everything at that store is amazing. I am sorry that people I called friends were hurt by associates of mine. The store is great and all should try (I know because I was there).

We have now been to Wang Gang twice and are on our way back soon. Not your average Chinese take-out, which I am fine with, but much more. The food is dine-in caliber with taste, texture and authenticity. My favs are Kung Pao (hold the peppers), Asian Chop salad (are there 25 great things in there?) Crab Rangoon (creamiest, with chunks of crab and light crispy casing) and Fried Spring Rolls (don't need sauce to hide the dynamic flavors). Decor? smash hit. Service? fast. Value? Unbeatable. 5-star all the way * * * * *

I came on the advice of a friend who knows I am picky on my asian food. I have been throught asia and am hard to please. I walk in to an entire staff who was more worried about talking than anything else. I then talked to the "chef" who told me that anything can be made healthy. I looked at the menu and started to notice that if it is so healthy why not have the nutrition facts on the menu. Then I notice why. The sauces they use have sugar in them, the meats are "flash fried" (which is done in the deep fryer for about 3 minutes. No one in the restaurant knows anything about healthy food. The website proved it further. It says that the food is cooked so that the vitamins and minerals are intact. Any time you COOK food you take out the vitamins and minerals. How dare a young "chef" act as though he knows and understands the cooking techniques that take years for true asians to master. Anyone can follow a recipe created by someone else.

My buddy (Altonite) and I went there. Fresh Spring Rolls are hard to find over here. Hot and spicy that isn't dripping in some discolored sauce is also hard to find...and this place had the right stuff. No heavy battered chicken (Sweet N Sour), and tasty sauces to dip things in. Overall, two thumbs up. In Edwardsville where there are alot of choices. Keep this one in mind next time (also side dish of beans as really tasty).
