Drive down highway 50 on a day when the wind is picking up, and you might just be lucky enough to get a waft of the sweet smell of slow cooking barbecue coming out of 17th Street Bar and Grill. Don’t mistake this place for just an average barbecue restaurant though. 17th Street was formed by the leader of a four-time, world champion barbeque team. The owner has a massive amount of national press to his credit, and the restaurant even has the honor of being named “best ribs” by Bon Appétit. When in O’Fallon stop by and see what all the fuss is about, foodies from all over the U.S. do.
