Monarch: User Reviews
This was our first dinner at Monarch after Brian Hale left, and we were hoping for something exciting and new. While it was new, it wasn't exciting. The pumpkin soup was delicious as a starter, but the blue snapper was salty and not well balanced with vegetables on the plate. Too much fish, too little else. The sauce was bland, not very interesting. As always, the service was very attentive and the setting beautiful.

Form the moment we were greeted by the friendly hostess to the time we were leaving the experience was the best we have had in STL. The food and service were great. The short ribs are a must have. The wine list was great. Cant wait to come back and try the other ares to dine. Can't believe this is the first time we have ever been to Monarch.
