Are there any frozen treat connoisseurs out there? If so, this story may tickle your palate. When the assignment was handed to me, go out and find the best frozen treats St. Louis has to offer, I thought, “Gosh, I have a hard job.” What would be a better way to compare these delectable desserts than by pinning them up against each other in a battle royale (or what I am calling--big booming announcer guy voice-- the battle of the frozen treats). With the big booming announcer guy’s voice echoing in my ear, Treats… eats… eats… eats, my mind started racing. Will frozen custard, a treat synonymous with St. Louis, make the grade against the infamous root beer float? I am off on the hunt to discover (and hopefully uncover) the best frozen treat in the area.
