Burger Bar
Hump Day Burger (Wednesday lunch special)
$9.99 (including drink)
The Burger Bar is known for its pricey burgers, but ironically, this was one of the cheapest meals I had on my trek for St. Louis' best burger. The Hump Day Burger, Wednesday's lunch special, was made with Pepper Jack cheese, peppered bacon and I ordered jalepenos on the side. With a drink, this meal came out to an even $10. Not bad for a gourmet burger. And this burger was certainly worth it. Made with Black Angus beef, the meat was tender, succulent and well-seasoned. It was cooked just perfect (I ordered it medium). The bacon was crispy and the cheese was great with a nice amount of spice.
