If I tell you there's a restaurant called The Tavern Kitchen and Bar in Valley Park, your first thought is probably a bar with some televisions tuned to the game. It may have a few dart boards, too. The beer is cold, the frozen pizza is something you can only stomach after three pints, the toasted ravioli is kind of stale and the red sauce came right out of the jar, which was purchased at your local Aldi.

Your first thought would be wrong.


 
The Tavern Kitchen and Bar features one of the most creative and tasty menus in our town. You probably haven't heard of the place unless you live close. It just opened October 1st. It's the idea of some 1991 Parkway West graduates: Brant Baldanza, John Fogerty and Justin Hartley.
