For the folks that don't venture beyond the Mississippi, let me fill you in on something. There's a whole new world of undiscovered dinner and drink spots out there. Lotawata Creek in Fairview Heights is no secret to folks in Illinois, but many in Missouri might not even know it exists. If you go on a weekend evening, expect a wait. My fiancé and I waited about 45 minutes to be seated Friday night. Lotawata is a huge place, so that shows you how popular it is. As we waited, we saw a few people heading out with boxes in hand. That's the story of this place... expect to eat a lot of food and bring home even more.
