The grub
We couldn't come here without trying the famed Banger & Mash. If you're on a first date, might want to avoid this one since the presentation is ripe with awkwardness. The sausage is well-cooked medium, with a casing that's lightly coated with cinnamon. The potatoes are hand made with buttermilk. The gravy is a basic beef boullion base so thin that a German would have scoffed at calling it 'gravy'. Again, pleasant enough, but not outstanding in any meaningful way.
