We here at Metromix are always writing stories that highlight local bars, events, people and restaurants. Well, here is a different kind of story that puts the spotlight on the local farmer. Living in St. Louis, we have the advantage of being surrounded by some of the greatest farmland in all of the nation, and it is important that we support it. St. Louis is packed with farmers' markets that bring you the freshest produce straight from the farmers. No middleman, here... which means lower prices. Not only that, but most of the produce you will find in these farmers' markets is healthier for you, too... less preservatives and none of that artificial stuff. Below we have listed a few of our favorite farmers' markets here in town, as well as included lots of pictures to give you an idea of what you can find at each one. So take the time to grocery shop at one or all of these great places and support your local farmers.
