Lucas Park Grille: User Reviews
Do not waste your time with this restaurant! I have never had such slow, careless service in my life. It took over an hour to get our food and there was only four tables of people in the whole restaurant. Every table around us were completely frustrated with the lack of effort by the servers. I walked by the kitchen to see how much longer until our food was ready and there I found our food sitting under the warmers. So when we got our food it was luke warm and not prepared correctly. Lastly, we saw two tables get up and leave the restaurant after waiting 15 minutes and not having any waiter acknowledge they exist. I would never recommend this place to people who have a life other than waiting for their cold food to arrive over an hour after they placed their order.

No matter how good the service or the food is.....you can't enjoy it when the noise level is off the charts. Two separate events were going on at LPG this past Saturday. ALIVE magazine was having a party in the front and TLC's What Not to Wear was having a party in the back.....and we (unfortunately) were trying to have dinner in the middle. The TLC party was replaying episodes of What Not to Wear and the volume on the TV was so loud that we could not hear each other talk. We complained several times and each time the volume was turned down....but then was turned back up 15-20 minutes later. Our food was good and our waiter was very apologetic and did what he could to keep the volume turned down, but the bottom line is we all walked out with sore throats (from yelling across the table) and headaches.

I love Lucas Park Grille and their food. However, the service is so incredibly SLOW. Forget about a lunch hour! Even after telling them I need to get in and out quickly, it still took 1 hour and 25 minutes....for a salad!!

I was in St Louis for the Bears game on 23 Nov 08 and was looking for a nice restaurant that would be comparable to Chicago cuisine. Prior to leaving Chicago I researched the area using Metromix. After finding restaurants in the area where I was staying, I next looked for hip decor. The pictures on the site didnt do the restaurant justice, this was a very trendy spot with modern decor and classy look at the same time. The food was fantastic, our server was Jessica who was very knowledgable about the menu items and recommended her personal favorites. She hit the mark with the macadamion nut crusted Sea Bass. The food , Service and drinks were great and I cant wait to return.
