June 23: I can't seem to turn off the waterworks

I can't help it. I cry at weddings. I cry at funerals. I cry at an endless number of commercials... and if my dog gives me a pouty face, you better believe that the waterworks turn on. So it should come as no surprise to friends, family and faithful blog readers that TV shows make me cry. And not just 'Grey's Anatomy," because, hey, that makes everyone cry. But giant heaving sobs from the likes of 'RW/RR Challenge: The Duel 2.' Yeah. I said it. Whatever... I was worried about Tori and Brad. Moving on. Last night marked the one-hour 'Jon & Kate Plus' special, which I couldn't wait to watch. Viewers' worst fears (or greatest hopes) were realized when Jon and Kate announced that they were not only separating, but were petitioning for a divorce. And there I was, a weepy mess on the couch watching their marriage unravel. I remembered the good time (the Hawaii trip, the sextuplets' third birthday party and the cuteness that is Aaden) and bid farewell to the Gosselin family as they embark on a two-month hiatus.
Tonight, I am headed to a screening of 'My Sister's Keeper.' You know, for more crying. Because nothing says fun like two hours of weepy melodrama. I'll let you know how it is.
What about you? What gets your waterworks going? Leave a comment below and let me know!
