Nov. 4: Happy Birthday, Sesame Street!

Like countless other adults, teens and kids alike, I remember fondly my days hanging out, throwing back a few juice boxes and chillin' with the crew at 123 Sesame Street. Now as PBS's mainstay prepares to hit the bit 4-0, they have upped the ante even more by featuring some of the coolest 20 and 30 somethings on the block. This season featured appearances by Jonah Hill, Neil Patrick Harris (oh, NPH, how I love you) and David Beckham... just to name a few. With more than 4,000 episodes under their belt, it's fair to say the Sesame Street has created their own celebs in Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster and Mr. Snuffulufugus. Though the show doesn't officially blow out the candles until November 10, The Muppets start their press junket tonight (yeah, that's how they roll) with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight and stints on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader early next week.
Metromix rounded up some of our favorite Sesame Street visitors this season. Check out all of the A-listers who stopped by the Sesame hood here.
So, let's raise a toast to 40 years of Sesame Street (with milk, of course) and wish them another 40 years of awesomeness.
