Season 19 of "Survivor" takes 20 new castaways to the beautiful islands of Samoa, where white beaches and lush forests conceal the dangers waiting for them: strange wildlife, rugged volcano peaks and the unforgiving elements. Following Samoan tradition, the castaways will be split off into two tribes, after which they must wordlessly elect a tribal chief to make all their decisions. From then on, the castaways will try to survive the wilderness and the vote for 39 grueling days to become the ultimate winner.—By Annie Yuan, Special to Metromix
"Survivor: Samoa" premieres Thursday, September 17, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
